Happy 2011

I wish you all a happy, healthy 2011 with a lot of nail polish and nail art :) Here are as promised my current Happy New Year nails, like I said I've used a dark blue nail polish again.
As a base I'm wearing Sally Hansen - 16 Blue it, I got this color as a present/souvenir from my mom and dad from Fuertaventura (Canary Islands) it just needed one coat. On top I did a coat of CND effects Crimson sparkle. It is really diffucult to get that effect showing in a picture. I stamped the fireworks with BM20 used Konad SN pastel violet, pastel blue, pastel pink, pastel yellow, pastel orange and PSN apple green. Like last year I stamped the text Happy from plate M43 using different pastel stamping polishes. Used the numbers from the sides of plate M20 and M11. For my thumb I used M46 and the numbers from the big demo plate.

I had a hard time taking a good picture.

Here a swatch of Sally Hansen - 16 Blue it.
One coat (don't mind my ringfinger I damaged it a bit)

Here a swatch with CND Crimson sparkle, it is a weird picture but I just couldn't get the effect showing in a picture.
Happy New Year everyone and be careful with fireworks!

Happy New Year nails from last year

This was my Happy New Year creation last year. I probably will use a dark blue base this year too, because I love dark blue with New Year. It reminds me of a true blue sky and then ofcourse the fireworks in that sky :)

As a base I'm wearing China Glaze Eyes like Sapphires (I love that color). I stamped with Konad SN silver little stripes from M72. The firework flowers with SN pastel blue and white M54. The text Happy with SN pastel blue and M43. For my thumb I used M46 for the text and M38 for the glasses. The numbers I made with the numbers on the side of imageplates M20 and M10 on the big demo plate.

Happy New Year everyone. (I'll post my new nails tomorrow)

My Giveaway Winner

Thank you all for entering my giveaway. I did not want to use a random program to choose the winner, so I let one of my pet rats choose :)
I wrote all your names on pieces of paper and multiplied the names with your number of entries.

I put all the pieces of paper on a plate.

And let the rats walk on the table, they really love little pieces of paper and take that with them in their cage.

My rat Bubble grabbed one stroke of paper and ran off ;)

I had to take it out of her mouth and saw the name.

The winner is:

Serena

I'll wil send you an email and ask you which color crack polish you want and what kind of decals you like.

Congratulations!

Christmas Workshop

Sometimes I organize Konad workshops at my home, such as birthday and bachelor party's. But also workshop/ meetings with my nail friends from the forum Beautiful Nails 4 U :) This week I had 3 of those workshops and we had al lot of fun. So here some pictures.

I decorated my workshop room in Christmas style.

My stash and some stuff that is for sale.
My door with ofcourse Disney ;)

The table, my little Christmas tree and my Disney Christmas balls.

As a table seating I decorated soms mini Christmas balls with the first letter of their names and some stamps.

Saturday I was expecting 8 people but because of the snow and bad weather only 4 people came, but we had a lot of fun.

Here you can see me acting weird in the back hahaha (thanks Michelle for this photo)

Sunday I had another workshop/meeting but I don't have pictures of that day.

Yesterday Brenda came to me, another friend couldn't come so it was just the two of us. But again we had a lot of fun and we counted all my nailpolish :)

And Brenda gave my my first CND effects...so sweet :) I also got one from Henny that was a big surprise because I already saw her saturday but Brenda had the polish and she couln't come then, so I got it yesterday....thanks again sweeties for the CND.

Here you can see me and Brenda.

As a thank you gift I gave all of them a Candy cane with a set of selfmade Christmas decals.

Christmas nails Metallic Green

Here again some Christmas nails :) I love making Christmas nails. I already have new Christmas nails at the moment but I still had to post this creation.
As a base I'm wearing HEMA metallic green (swatches see previous blog ad below) on top some Christmas decals. I did not make these decals myself, but I bought them. Self made decals don't have white in them, because a regular printer doesn't have white inkt. (yeah I know I still have to make a blog about how to make your own water decals) I stamped with Konad SN Green M59 and SN white M11.

Photo without flash under artificial light, here you can see the cute decals better.

I wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year with lots of nailpolish and nailart ;)

HEMA Metallic Green

I saw this polish a few weeks ago but I didn't bought it because in the past I didn't have a great experience with this brand. But then one of my nail friends bought the purple one, and she said it was a nice polish. So I went back and got the green one, I just couldn't get this color out of my head ;) I really love it, but find it hard to describe the true color.

Here some pictures:

Purple and Pink Christmas nails

I've made this creation for one of my nail friends Esther, she loves purple and pink so I promised her to make a Christmas creation with those colors. Who said Christmas nails should be green, red, white, silver or gold ;)
As a base I'm wearing Color Club Wild at Heart (for swatches see my previous blog) I stamped with Nfu Oh number 63 and used Konad plate M64 and M12, the little curly things I decorated with pink glitter.
My camera had trouble with this, it is to much holo ;) So I used my sisters camera for this photo.

Photo with flash and my own camera. Here you can see the holo of the Nfu Oh stamps, but overall it is more unclear. But the colors are more accurate.

Photo without flash, here you can see the stamps and glitter good, but the color isn't accurate.

Disney Chip & Dale Christmas nails

My first Christmas creation for this year :) In Dutch we call them "Knabbel and Babbel".When I was little I used to watch a movie every year with Chip & Dale and Mickey Mouse and Pluto decorating the Christmas tree, I just loved that short movie and still love Disney so I made Chip & Dale nails.

As a base I'm wearing P2 Divine and a white french with China Glaze Snow (see pictures below). I stamped with Konad SN red and plate M45. And I used selfmade water decals of Chip & Dale with Christmas hats (I photoshopped the hats on them myself). It is not so perfect (the dots aren't that great) but I'm happy with it :)

Photo of my hand with flash.

Photo without flash under artificial light.

Here are some photo's of only my base.
On top of the white french I have another coat of P2 Divine to make it less white and more shimmery.

I will make some more Christmas nails and I promise to blog about my little giveaway next week.

Sinterklaas nails

Sinterklaas is a Dutch holiday. We celebrate it on the 5th of december. I don't celebrate it this year but I did wanted to make some Sinterklaas nails.

My nails are little presents wrapped in China Glaze Sexagon from the Kaleidoscope collection. Every finger has a different bow matching to the Black Petes and Sinterklaas hats, stamped with Konad SN yellow, red, blue, green and imageplate M3. The Black Petes and Sinterklaas are self made water decals.

Now for my international readers some information about our Sinterklaas holiday, I got this information from a website (read more info about Sinterklaas) because it will take me to long to try to explain it in English myself ;)

Sinterklaas is an old man, who has been around for a very long time, like santa. And like santa he likes to hand out presents. Sinterklaas lives in Spain and once a year he comes to the Netherlands on his steamboat for his birthday. He arrives at the end of November together with his helpers and his white horse. The helpers are called Black Petes. They are black because they are always crawling through the chimneys of every house to deliver the presents. As soon as the Sint is in the country, kids all over get excited. Every week they get to put one shoe under the chimney. In your shoe you put carrots for the Sints horse, and a present wish list. And often something sweet to chew on, for the Sint and his helpers. The kids also sing Sinterklaas songs, to get the Sint in a good mood. Then at night, Sint and his Petes walk over the roofs and the Petes jump down the chimneys. They collect the things in the shoes and exchange them for presents and chocolate letters. That is, if you were a good kid all year. If you weren’t you have to watch out, because he just might take you back to Spain with him as punishment.

Then on the fifth of December it is the Sints birthday. This day there is a lot of singing for Sinterklaas. In the evening he and his Petes go around and deliver big bags of presents everywhere. The difference with Christmas presents is that every present has a little poem with it. These poems are usually used to tease people and point out their flaws, but in a funny and nice way.

Here a picture of how Sinterklaas and his Black Petes look like as a person.
